The American Transmissions staff of transmission service & repair technicians and management realize that our auto repair customers are the most valued asset of our auto repair shop. We are always happy to receive testimonials from shop customers and equally happy to share their feedback with you!

I had some fluid leaking under my hood. I took it to one reputable mechanic who admitted that he thought it was the transmission, and that he recommended I take it to American Transmission. What was so amazing about this recommendation is that the first mechanic is a young guy and the one he was referring me to is not. But American Transmission's reputation must be known around the city. I was VERY pleased with the work. All of the staff was professional. They were very patient with answering all of my questions (and I had many). My problem wasn't the transmission, but the seal between the transmission and engine. The cost was only a few hundred dollars (vs. thousands of dollars for a new transmission.) My Volvo is STILL running, with over 279,000 miles. American Transmission is a cut above the rest, and I'm thankful that I had the pleasure of taking my car to them.

A few months ago, I thought that I was having trouble with my transmission because the vehicle's engine would surge without picking up any speed. I took my vehicle, a 2005, F250 Ford Truck, to one of the nationally known transmission repair locations and was told that I would have to leave the vehicle for testing. Upon my return the next day, I was told that the technician could not duplicate the problem that I was having but they knew that there were some things that needed to be fixed and they would know more about it once they got the transmission on the table to take a look at it. This LOOK AND REPAIR WAS GOING TO COST ME BETWEEN $1700.00 2400.00. I said that I would have to think about it, took my vehicle and went to American Transmission, Inc, for a second opinion. At American Transmission, Inc, I was meet and treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. I explained to the man at the front desk the problem that I was having with the vehicle and he asked me to leave the vehicle for testing. A few hours later, I returned to discuss the issue with the vehicle and was told that there was NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION BUT THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE EGR VALVE. He said that I could take the vehicle to the repair shop to get it fixed and then they would SERVICE THE TRANSMISSION for me if that is what I wanted and that is what I did!!!!! It was an excellent feeling to meet people in the auto repair business that are honest God-fearing people. Mr. & Mrs. Holmes, the owners of the business, are some of the finest people that I have have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Mr. Holmes explained the problem with the vehicle and stated to me that they NEVER REPAIRED OR REPLACED A TRANSMISSION THAT DID NOT NEED IT. So, no matter who you are, where you are, or what you do, I would recommend that if you THINK THAT YOU ARE HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS, BE SURE TO ALLOW AMERICAN TRANSMISSION, INC, TO GIVE YOU A QUOTE BEFORE YOU MAKE A BIG MONEY MISTAKE. They are excellent people and well worth the time that you will spend with their company.
